Is passive income really passive?

Not at first. Most passive income takes a lot of upfront work or money, then some upkeep later. Rental homes need repairs, content needs updates, and trading tools need checking. The payoff is that income can keep coming without trading every hour for pay. Low effort is a fairer word than zero effort.
The word passive gets oversold online. Every income stream needs some care.
What changes is the ratio. Early on you work a lot for little. Later you work a little for more, if it works.
Mix a few streams so one slow month does not hurt as much.
