What is ROI?
Updated October 22, 2026
ROI, or return on investment, measures how much you made compared to what you put in.
ROI is profit divided by cost, shown as a percent.
It helps you compare ads, tools or projects.
Time matters too. Fast small ROI can beat slow big ROI.
Example
You spend $100 on ads and earn $150 in sales, so ROI is 50%.
