Is a PAMM account safe?
Updated October 16, 2026
A PAMM account is only as safe as the broker and the money manager. A regulated broker lowers the risk of fraud, but nothing protects you from the manager's losing trades. Check the regulator, the manager's full history including drawdowns, all fees, and withdrawal rules, and only invest money you can afford to lose.
In a PAMM account, many investors pool money and one manager trades it. Profits and losses are shared by percentage.
Managers usually take a performance fee, often 20 to 30 percent of profits. Some also charge management or early exit fees.
Most PAMM info online comes from brokers who sell it, so look for independent reviews and regulator warnings too.
