What is Economic Calendar?

Updated October 21, 2026

An economic calendar lists upcoming news releases and events that can move the markets.

It shows times for rate decisions, jobs reports, inflation data and more.

Each event has an impact level, usually low, medium or high.

Checking it daily helps you avoid getting caught in a surprise spike, whether you trade by hand or with a bot.

Example

The calendar shows US CPI at 8:30am, so you pause your bot before it.

Questions people ask
