What is VPS?

Updated October 18, 2026

A VPS is a remote computer that runs your trading platform 24/7 so bots keep working when your PC is off.

VPS stands for Virtual Private Server. It's a computer in a data center you rent.

You install MetaTrader on it, add your EA, and it runs nonstop.

A VPS near your broker's servers can also cut delays and slippage.

Example

You turn off your laptop at night, but your gold bot keeps trading on the VPS.
