What is Broker?

Updated October 17, 2026

A broker is the company that gives you a trading account and connects your trades to the market.

You can't trade forex directly with banks. A broker gives you the platform, prices and account.

Brokers make money from spreads, commissions and swaps.

Picking a regulated broker with a solid reputation matters more than flashy bonuses.

Example

You sign up with a broker, pass KYC, deposit and download MetaTrader 5.
