What is XAUUSD (Gold)?

XAUUSD is the trading symbol for gold priced in US dollars.
XAU is the code for gold and USD is the dollar. One unit is one ounce.
Gold is a favorite with traders and AI bots because it moves a lot.
Those big moves cut both ways. Use smaller lots on gold than you would on EURUSD.

Gold goes from 2,400 to 2,415 and a 0.01 lot buy makes about $15.
