What is Mini Lot?

Updated October 17, 2026

A mini lot is 10,000 units of the base currency, or 0.10 on most trading platforms.

A mini lot is one tenth of a standard lot. On EURUSD a pip is worth about $1.

It's a middle step for people who've practiced with micro lots and have a bit more in the account.

The same rule applies though. Size the trade so a loss is something you can shrug off.

Example

0.10 lots on EURUSD with a 25 pip stop risks about $25.
